julia carr

producer/image design

New beginnings for AMT and for Julia, as well.  An actress with a predilection for the avant-garde, before earning her BA in Theatre at Binghamton, she performed the title role in Dion Boucicault’s Arrah-na-Pogue at The Kennedy Center. Pursuing her interests in Tafiatrenage and Biomechanics led Julia to perform as part of Mel Gordon's Mastfor II group.  It wasn't until becoming a member of The Gertrude Stein Repertory Theatre, that the emerging influence of Information Technology on theatre took focus.  Julia ran digital projections and helped produce websites to fund theatre projects, leading to a longtime career in IT Program Management.  Returning now to Hell’s Kitchen as a third-generation resident, she tries to avoid being Mama Rose to her own acting progeny.  Julia has tremendous gratitude for the opportunity to serve as part of the AMT family.  Sláinte!
